Acupuncture

  • Acupuncture is performed by inserting thin painless, sterile, stainless steel needles into specific points on the body.
  • Most acupuncture points are located along 14 major channels, which form a network that carries blood and energy throughout the entire body (Chi).
  • Acupuncture produces a physiological response. It can provide pain relief, stimulate the immune and nervous systems, increase microcirculation, and decrease inflammation.

Photonic Light Therapy

  • Reducing pain by increasing endorphin production, a natural painkiller.
  • Reducing inflammation suppresses enzymes that create swelling, redness, and pain, and boosts the release of anti-inflammatory enzymes.
  • Increasing lymphatic drainage
  • Increasing circulation
  • Speeding the healing process by up to 70%
  • Relaxing tight muscles and quickly releases muscle cramps

Massage Therapy

  • Help to relieve age-related problems
  • Reverse muscle lose from inactivity or disuse
  • Provide relief from muscle tension, soreness, spasms, and weaknesses
  • Provide relief from chronic pain and discomfort from arthritis, hip dysplasia, etc. through the release of endorphins.
  • Also, massage can provide emotional well-being for the animal.

Testimonials

See what our patients parents have to say about their sessions with Pet Acupuncture Therapy

Amazing service, so friendly, helpful and professional. Treated our aged gelding who could not even put his head down to eat or drink and now he is like a new horse rolling in his paddock and playing. And the follow up communication to see how he was going was lovely. Highly recommend!
— Jean Catherine
We recently had visit to give our cat (Django) Acutherapy as he has been a bit aggressive and out of sorts since we have a new human baby at home. They made Django feel at ease which to us was surprising since he isn’t really a fan of strangers. We noticed an improvement in Django’s behaviour over the following days as he was calm and relaxed. 10/10!

I cannot thank this lady enough, my poor German Shepherd was given a not very nice diagnosis on Tuesday night that he would never walk again unless he had a $10000 surgery that was not guaranteed.

That next morning I phoned Karen and she was at our house within 4 hours giving Simba a canine therapy treatment.

An hour later he was up walking on all fours.
Another treatment on Saturday and he’s now running!!!

Acupuncture has made a huge difference to my Warmblood mare who was very tight/stiff/short. She’s happy, relaxed & enjoying her new found freedom. Thanks, Karen!
