Usually no. Your pet may feel some pain if there is a muscle knot or spasm at the insertion point. More commonly, though, your pet may experience a sensation as the needle enters the top layer of skin. Most needles slide out near the end or become bent which is an indication of how their body was feeling. Towards the end of the session when they are more relaxed (if they weren't to begin with) it's not unusual for your pet to fully relax or even fall asleep.
